In the midst of an economic boom, China’s quality of life has been increasing. The cities are growing richer and growing brighter with an influx of migrating workers.
Consequently, the lure of work (money) has brought a large surge of people, into the cities, creating congestion and crowding. Along with the rising overpopulation, pollution and property values are rising, and as a result the more affluent, middle class, population is beginning to look for life outside the metropolitans.
For the past few years, smaller satellite cities are beginning to sprout up outside large metropolitans. These communities are offering much of the same as the suburbs, in America, with more space and a quieter environment. In the next few years, developers are anticipating an mass exodus, primarily middle to upper class, into these surrounding communities. The surge is reminiscent of suburbanization post World War II, in America, only on a larger scale. The Great Chinese Dream.
